Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure performed by our Aesthetician for exfoliating the epidermis and removing the fine hair on the face, also known and referred to as peach fuzz. The treatment has been used for many years and is mainly used for treating the facial hair.
Intense Pulse Light- Photorejuvenation
Too much exposure to the sun can cause premature signs of aging, not to mention skin cancer risks and sun spots. IPL is the appropriate treatment if you are in need of some skin rejuvenation due to overabundance of pigmentation and age spots in the skin. IPL may provide just the help you need to achieve the results you desire. Photorejuvenation can help not only with the signs of aging and sun damage, but also other skin imperfections such as rosacea and acne.
Photorejuvenation is considered a non-invasive and non-abrasive treatment for your skin using the cutting-edge technology of Intense Pulsed Light. The area of treatment, typically the face, décolleté, and often times the skin on the hands, is typically numbed prior to treatment. Passes are made by our experienced estheticians to treat the pigmentation deep in the skin. A cooling tip is applied in between passes to make the procedure more comfortable. Between the numbing cream and cooling process, pain is minimal and some patients consider it somewhat relaxing. The actual procedure takes only approximately 20 minutes and results are achieved in anywhere from 3-6 treatments. Individual treatment price is reduced when purchased in packages or through our VIP “skin health for a year” program that utilizes hydrafacial treatments, micro-needling, chemical peels and skincare products to help a patient obtain their individual goals.
There is no recovery time although the pigment targeted during the treatment will begin to surface, may appear darker over the next week and flake off. After that time, it will be lighter or gone completely depending on how far along the patient is in their treatment process. Products, such as hydroquinone, can maximize results and keep pigmentation form coming back. Using sunscreen daily is recommended to protect your skin.

What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical exfoliant (acid or base) is applied to remove damaged layers of skin on the face, neck or hands. Chemical peels are graded (very superficial to deep) depending on the depth of penetration and the layer of skin that is removed with a peel. Depending on the amount and depth of damage, real improvement in sun spots, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation may require different depths of chemical peels.
What are the benefits of a Chemical Peel?
Corrective peels have been shown to be an excellent, non-invasive way to improve skin tone and texture as well as reverse aging effects caused by the sun, environment, and genetics. Chemical Peels are effective for a broad range of problems including:
- Sun damaged skin and age spots on the face, hands, shoulders/back, chest, and neck
- Fine lines and wrinkles including: Crow’s feet, lipstick lines, fine lines around eyes
- Acne scars (better with medium/deep peels)and Microneedling
Very Superficial to Superficial Peels
For lighter more superficial peels, glycolic acid in varying strengths (30–70%), Jessner’s solution, and low strength TCA are used and are able to be performed in the office. The skin is thoroughly cleansed and degreased. The agent is applied to the face evenly. A mild stinging or burning is experienced which abates rapidly. These peels can be done by any of our experienced Aestheticians. Regular treatments are best for maximum results and often purchased in packages of 6, which lowers the price per peel.
Recovery From Very Superficial to Superficial Peels
Immediately following the procedure, the skin may appear red. Peeling begins to occur over the next 1–3 days. The underlying skin will appear slightly pink and healthier. Sunscreen and moisturizers are recommended. Make-up can be used. Improvement can be seen after just one peel and continues with subsequent peels, which can be performed weekly.

REVEPEEL™ is a procedure that improves skin’s tone and texture. REVEPEEL™is a medium-depth peel that contains four peeling acids in an oil-based delivery system. It is effective and safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I to VI. REVEPEEL™ is used for a variety of conditions including Acne Scars, Melasma, Fine Lines, Wrinkles and Severely Damaged Skin. REVEPEEL™ can be used on the face and hands as well as other areas of the body.
REVEPEEL™ can be applied in less than 20 minutes. The peel is controlled by the number of passes of application – the more passes, the deeper the peel. There is not one ideal depth for a peel. The depth of the peel varies from patient to patient. The depth of the peel is determined by the patient’s skin condition, type, thickness and the skin area being treated.
Impressive results can be seen after a single REVEPEEL™ application. Many people benefit from having a REVEPEEL™ procedure performed at regular intervals.
REVEPEEL™ helps to improve the appearance of sun damaged skin. REVEPEEL™ also helps to improve the appearance of fine lines, age spots and acne scars.
Medium to Deep Peels
Medium depth chemical peels are performed using TCA (30–40%). They may be performed under local anesthesia in the office or in the operating room under sedation. The agent is applied to the face evenly and the depth of penetration carefully monitored. Deep chemical peels are performed using Baker’s solution under sedation and monitoring. Deep chemical peels are only appropriate for select patients.
Recovery From Medium to Deep Peels
The skin may appear red and swollen immediately following the procedure. The swelling is more pronounced with a deep chemical peel. The skin will turn brown over 48 hours and slough over the next 7–10 days. Make-up and sunscreen / moisturizer can then be used. The underlying skin will appear pinker and healthier. This pink appearance completely fades in 2–3 weeks and is easily covered with make–up. Continued improvement from these peels can be seen even up to a year following the procedure. A medium depth peel can be repeated every 6 months to 1 year. A deep chemical peel can only be done once.
Hydrodermabrasion with Wet Diamond Tip
Dermabrasion is a skin resurfacing procedure that has been used for many years to improve lines, wrinkles, acne scars, skin pigmentation, and traumatic scars. Through an abrasive technique similar to light sanding, the top layers of skin that have accumulated years of damage from sun exposure and the natural aging process are removed. This allows healthy skin cells to proliferate and lay down new collagen, which results in a thicker, healthier outer skin layer with fewer wrinkles and areas of discoloration.
Micro-needling (PCIT) with Growth Factors
Fractional needling is an innovative treatment combining science and nature, resulting in a remarkable breakthrough for skin rejuvenation with little downtime. It is also known as collagen Induction Therapy and is used to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin to induce the skin’s natural repair process. This repair process then thickens the epidermis and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, producing smooth rejuvenated skin. Topical gels, creams and serums can be used and absorbed into the deeper layers of the skin through micro-channels created during the micro-needling treatment.
